I’d hoped to switch to a Monday through Thursday schedule this week, but then I looked at my class schedule and realized I had to write a Final Project paper for one of my classes this week.  I’m going to go with MWF this week and try switching to four days a week next Monday.

The Best Buy dickhead has returned, and it turns out that he has a name!

So I had gotten pretty good at Mario Kart.  So good that I’d gone a few weeks without getting lower than 2nd place in an online race.  Then over the weekend we bought a new 40″ widescreen TV and I gave it a try again.  Turns out that switching from a small screen to a huge screen with extra room on either side really screws with your timing in a game where timing is everything.  In about fifteen minutes and five races I went from 8000 VR to 7000.  I’ve gotten used to it since then, but that really drove home how a few bad races can screw up your rating royally.  It’ll probably take a week to get back all the points that I lost in a few minutes.  And it would be nice if they gave some sort of reward for people who get certain ratings.
