Drunk in 60 Seconds
And we’re back! I had two major projects due, one that involved completely redesigning a website using nothing but CSS. That was definitely old school building a website in notepad, and I found myself remembering why I switched to modifying prefab content management systems about four years back.
Thanks to everyone who has stuck with me these past two weeks. Unfortunately grad school is my full time job right now, not the comic, and so from time to time that might creep in. Perhaps one day I’ll be able to pay the bills with this hobby, but I’m not holding my breath judging from the financial state of most webcomics out there.
I’ve done something different with the drawing today. Can you tell what it is? I like it and think it makes the comic look a little nicer.
I bought Mario Kart for the Wii last week and have been playing it in brief spurts when I got tired of messing with CSS. So far I have around 8000 VR in online play, not too bad. I haven’t even taken the Wii wheel out of the box though. I’ve been playing Kart using a controller for over a decade, and the new control scheme was just too weird when I tried it out at Best Buy. If anyone wants to race then feel free to add me. My friend code is 1161-0158-7960.
Nintendo’s online play definitely leaves something to be desired when compared to Xbox Live or any online enabled PC game since 1996, but I’m so happy about being able to race online that I’m willing to overlook the shortcomings for the moment. Smash Bros. is still impossible to play online a month after its release date, though. All I have to say is that Nintendo really needs to get their shit together and create a decent online network similar to Live, and they need to do it now. Anything would be better than the haphazard patchwork that they’re running now.
That’s it for Monday. I’ll see everyone back here on Wednesday as I resume regular updates.

Is it just me or the characters are looking like they are made of plastic? ._.
The Wii Wheel seems neat, but I didn’t get the chance to play with it yet.

Yeah, there might be a bit too much highlighting on Jen’s hair. I like the look using darker colors for the linework instead of black, but it’s constantly evolving as I experiment.
